The Performance Art Foundation has organised eight editions of Performance Platform Lublin with the support of the City of Lublin and the National Centre for Culture. The festival, held at Galeria Labirynt and in the urban space, has attracted significant interest from artists and audiences, with the number of attendees growing every year. We have developed an open call formula, which has received positive feedback – the number of applications has steadily increased. Event documentation can be found on the website www.liveperformance.pl.

In 2014, we also organised Poznań Gallery Weekend, which engaged the young artistic community of Poznań, local galleries, and volunteers. In 2012, we ran the educational project “Nisze kultury”[Cultural Niches], primarily aimed at young people – it included performance workshops, audiovisual shows, and collaboration with the Lublin Secondary School of Fine Arts. In addition, we organised numerous smaller events in Poland (e.g., Ustka, Poznań, Wrocław) and participated in festivals such as “Konteksty” [Contexts] in Sokołowsko and “Kontestacje” [Contestations] in Lublin. The Foundation professionally documents projects and events, and the works are archived and made available for curatorial and academic purposes. The Foundation supports networks of artistic contacts created during the festival, contributing to the development of grassroots creative initiatives. The educational aspect of the Foundation’s activities is key to us – we aim to activate young art theorists, giving them the opportunity to practice on a large scale. This programme will continue as part of the Foundation’s long-term vision to support the young generation of artists in Poland.
